Similar to the CLA collection stuff I posted about a while ago, if you head over to the Waves site you can read about what’s going with the Eddie Kramer Signature Collection effects. On that page there are some sketches of what the concept for processing and signal chain. I thought they were pretty interesting so I’ve posted some of them below.

This is Mac and PC compatible in Standalone, VST, AU and RTAS formats. These are somewhat limited but you may get plenty of use from them. A really nice taste of what KOMPLETE contains.
I downloaded this on the weekend and played with them a little. I can see myself using some of the REAKTOR 5 PLAYERS for pads and loops. GUITAR RIG 4 PLAYER won’t get much use as a guitar amp, but should prove useful as an effects unit. KORE 2 PLAYER AND KONTAKT 4 PLAYER have been around for a while and see some use from time to time in my studio.

Every Monday I highlight free plugins new and old that are worth checking out. See all posts in the Free Plugin Of The Week Series.
This is not a new plugin, but it is one of my favorites, mostly because I love that crackle on vinyl records. I like it on drum loops, synth basses and even guitars. The only thing with this plugin is it has only one purpose, but it does it very well, just don’t over use it.
“The ultimate lo-fi weapon, iZotope Vinyl uses 64-bit processing and advanced filtering, modeling and resampling to create authentic “vinyl” simulation, as if the audio was a record being played on a record player.”
It works on both Mac and Windows systems, in RTAS/AudioSuite/HTDM, VST, MAS, Audio Unit, DirectX formats. It supports sample rates of up to 192 kHz, and is fully automatable.
