I was at IKEA the other day and couldn’t help but notice the display carpets hanging vertically could make quite inexpensive acoustic treatment. Both fluffy and heavy, one of those 5-10 inches from you back wall will stop a lot of sound.

The Alex drawers are perfect for mic storage. I bought some foam and cut out shapes for each mic. works like a charm.

ikea really is the studio engineer’s home… heck, i almost bought an expedit desk (half book shelf with desk portion) for a club install for the console/storage…

oh, and the expedit bookshelves have purchasable 2 drawers and doors to create even better storage out of the unit…
