Gotta Love Technology…

Here’s a list of electronics that have failed me in the past year.

Is it just me or is this stuff built to fail?

1. Compaq r3000 laptop (overheated CPU, bad hard drive, bad battery, FAIL)
2. Creative Audigy 2NX USB sound card (drivers are terrible and the cause uncountable system hangs, FAIL)
3. SanDisk Sansa e250 mp3 player (permanent white screen makes it a FAIL)
4. Audiovox piece of shit cellphones (calls either wouldn’t connect or would be dropped, started in the last 6 months of my 3 year contract, FAIL)
5. Ultra 500w Computer Power Supply (computer doesn’t power up, FAIL)
6. Eden Nemesis NA320 (in for repair twice in 3 years, FAIL)
7. Epson Stylus CX4800 printer/scanner (electronic ink level detection that’s a damn liar and now a tiny piece of plastic has broken and now the printer doesn’t work at all, FAIL)

This is in order up until yesterday when my printer broke. On could argue it’s all cheap consumer crap, the fact is I have to replace all this stuff and that is NOT cheap.

all this stuff is out of warranty now too, they won’t even guarantee it will work for more than a year after purchase. Remember the days when an an appliance worked for 20 years without problems? If it didn’t it was defective and replaced.

They don’t make ‘em like they used to.

p.s. I now have an mp3 phone that doesn’t have a headphone jack…fail
