There are so many good microphones available these days SE2200A is a good starting place and also an AT4033 is a great mic.(though a little more expensive than the SE2200A)

does the y axis mean anything? it’s no even labeled. 400 what? 400 the colour red? fuck, I don’t know. can I get more the colour red in my monitor?

All that matters is if it sounds good/cool and will work in a mix.

I’m thinking of pairing the PG52 with the ES-57, along with the stereo DI out of the amp.

Funny! Jon, good try, but I don’t think you measured them correctly. None go above 6k. And I’m sure they all actually do go above 6k. Regardless, I agree with you – WHO CARES! I listen with my ears too. “Paper Specs” don’t matter as long as your ears like what you hear.
