Here’s some of my favorite new features in FL Studio 8, in no particular order.
- recording filter (right-click record button). Choose to record Audio, Automation or Note data independently.
- Never lose a keyboard performance. The new score logger records all MIDI activity from controller keyboards and the ‘typing-piano keyboard’ in a 3 minute buffer.
- FL Studio can permanently learn and remember links to external controllers. The new ‘multilink’ function + ‘Override generic links’ option.
- 24 bit int rendering (it could do 16 and 32 only previously)
- Soundgoodizer: a stereo ‘maximizer-enhancer’ plugin based on the Maximus soundprocess engine.
- audio to MIDI analysis – good for drum replacing
- Mouse wheel can re-order effects. Hover over effect to be moved and roll!
- New Plugin database directory, functions with Plugin picker. Thumbnails of all your plugins, just click and drag. See below.
Also Interesting:

It just keeps getting better. I missed the re-order effects function, lovely!
Really looking forward to your review of FL Studio 9! .. long time since you posted on my fave DAW.
