Protools shortcuts
Monday, November 12th, 2007Stiff at Protoolerblog and doing my 101 certification got me thinking about how many keyboard shortcuts I use all the time and how much I rely on them especially with keyboard focus activated. Keyboard focus allows you to execute a shortcut with a single button, without using ctrl/command.
Here are some I use all the time.
z : undo
c : copy
x : cut
v : paste
b : separate region
a : trim region start to cursor
s : trim region end to cursor
d : fade start to cursor
f : auto fade selection
g : fade end to cursor
e : zoom toggle
r : zoom out horizontally
t : zoom in horizontally
p : move selection up
; : move selection down
l : tab back
Knowing these commands, combined with the smart tool easily saves me hours when doing heavy editing.
